1999 Amsterdam

At Easter we crossed the channel with Eurotunnel in Le Shuttle and drove up into The Netherlands to visit Amsterdam. We actually stayed in Hilversum and travelled in to Amsterdam on a train (about 20 minutes). The weather wasn’t good but we had fun wandering around and looking at the sights. The smell of the marijuana drifting out of the “coffee shops” is an interesting experience on your first visit. For some reason, there also seem to be quite a lot of ladies sitting in windows. It must be very warm behind the glass because they’re never wearing very much.
