- British Bugs
- An online identification guide to UK Hemiptera. Pretty much encyclopædic. The most useful id chart can be difficult to locate, though, so there it is.
- European Bugs
- A Germany-based site covering a huge amount of European bugs. Extensive but perhaps a little hard to navigate for identification.
- British Hoverflies
- A useful personal photographic guide to a collection of UK Hoverflies, albeit centred around Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Hampshire and some of which, by admission are uncorroborated by experts.
- Diptera.info
- According to this, Diptera covers flies and midges. Chambers says Diptera are two-winged insects. Could prove useful.
