Ever since childhood I’ve been captivated by butterflies. They are probably the most widely charismatic of insects. Not only are they typically very attractive in life but, due to the way the wing colours are made, they remain attractive in death (unlike dragonflies) making pinned collections a possibility. That’s NOT for me.
We begin with our home territory of Europe but I’ve also collected a handful of species that we’ve bumped into in further flung parts of the world.
