2014 The Lake District

Despite our weather experiences with the north and Scotland in September 2012, we once again chose to travel north in April 2014, this time to the English Lake District. Despite my natural aversion to heading north, my opinion is that the Lake District offers this island’s most attractive scenery. We were both hoping to do some walking and Carol was keen on some landscape photography, practising with her new landscape accessory, a Lee Big Stopper. In common with September 2012, though, this trip saw us suffering a repeat of pretty grim weather with a preponderance of grey skies and considerable amounts of rain.

The idea of walking failed to appeal to either of us but Carol did get out and grab some landscape shots. The pictures that follow are almost entirely hers.
