We decided to spend Christmas 2002 away from home in a cottage in the Lake District (northwest England) -
Pooley Bridge on Ullswater, to be precise.
Both Mothers (or Mothers-in-law, depending upon your point of view!) came along and we think a good time was had by all.
Being England in the winter, we didn't have our usual photographic conditions (we are, I admit, mostly fair weather snappers)
but it gave us a chance to experiment with some different light quality. Here's a selection of some of the more satisfactory results.
