A second break for the year (lucky us} and we repeated the format of our camping trip in 1999 in that we went for the first two weeks of September, the main attraction being a relative lack of rug rats! This time, though, we were very pleased to have some company in the form of our good friends, Howard and Beryl. The down side this year was that the weather was a little on the cool side and we had to resort to eating in on a few evenings. We spent four days near "La Loire" then travelled to a new destination for us near the Ile d'Oleron where there is a large oyster industry.
