2007 Spain November

What a year; first, two trips to France, and now a second chance to travel to Spain for more house and dog sitting duties. We were happy to escape two weeks of November and renew our aquaintance with Chris, Yvonne and Scamp, el perrito. Having discovered in February how rough some of the Spanish walking routes could be, this time we went equipped with suitable shoes and trekking poles in the hope that we could do the circular route around the Sierra Bernia. On this occasion, I was also determined to make an effort not to fall into the swimming pool. Both goals were achieved, although el perrito's ball did take the plunge a few times. We also managed a scramble up the Peñón de Ifach, the rock which stands sentinel over Calpe harbour, and up to the Cova de la Garganta (Giant's cave) north of Senija.
